I don't know.

From my research I've found Violet's maiden name was ROBERTS.
Thomas M 1944 looks promising! 
I'll go to the births on findmypast and see if I can find the others.

Whoops!  I got so excited with the reply I forgot I had already put Violet's maiden name.!!

I have just checked the other children on BMD's at Findmypast and noted their Vol. and page nos.   I may at last be able to track down some living relatives.

How exciting to finally find family still back in South Shields!
Your Grandfather Thomas M. Hansen was my mother's first cousin.
Your gt grandmother Harriet Blanch Mitchelmore was my grandfather's sister.
 
My branch of the family came to New Zealand in 1926, my Grandfather lost contact with his sisters Blanch, Ethel and Annie, and when he returned to UK for a visit in 1958 it came as a bit of a shock as they thought he had died!

I have done a lot of research into our family and would be happy to share my info.
