Cause of Death!
« on: Saturday 04 April 09 15:32 BST (UK) »
Hi there

Here's one for anyone who can understand the writings of Medical Practitioners!  I thought I could handle it after having served 22 years as a Medic in the RAF and having to read Doctors' writing day in and day out, but this one has me beat!

I realise I should maybe have taken a wee bit more time over this document when I found it initially, but I had a mountain of questions needing answers on the day I got it in General Register House, Edinburgh, and ended up just hastily printing off my 'finds' to work on when I got back home!

Reading over it again and again, I wonder if it is:

"Angina Pectoris with A RUPTURE with or of one of the larger blood vessels of the heart or the heart itself.    Quarter of an hour."

It doesn't read well as it is, but take out the words 'with or' after 'rupture' and it does make a bit of sense:
"Angina Pectoris with a rupture of one of the larger blood vessels of the heart or the heart itself.    Quarter of an hour."

I would appreciate your help.

Regards

Hi Chiad

I showed it to my OH he is a doc without showing him what you had wrote. He said it was

Natural Causes origin

Angina Pectoris with a rupture with (in) (or) of one of the larger blood vessels of the heart or of the heart itself.

Quarter of an hour.

He said that sounds credible.

She must have had a ruptured aortic anurysm by the sounds of it
