Thank you

I am wondering if the last bit could be "Ind acc", implying self employed as a Dressmaker. Not sure about the middle bit yet.

The last bit appears to be in different handwriting and could have been added by the census clerk to clarify the occupation. Whatever it is  ???

Is there a capital F on the page anywhere to compare?

It looks like Fabrick Maker

I like that! Could it actually be Dressmaker's Fabric Maker?

You know, I'm not sure it says Dressmaker - it looks like Dresser-something Fabrick Maker

I wonder if any of these cloth-related terms help?

#Changed my mind!

The ref Trees gives is for the page prior to the one on which Ellen appears (16) - but on that image there is another Dressmaker.  The enumerator tends to write a "k" as a downstroke "l" plus another mark which is like a "k" in it's own right!

so - back to dressmaker - apologies!
