WARDLE Ada marriage 1898 Sheffield

I have ordered in error a marriage certificate which i'm happy to pass on if anyone needs it for their tree.  I'm afraid i can't read the surname properly but the details are:

Jan 27th 1898 Ada Wardle age 18, Ernest Levi Cwokes?? age 20, a Joiner.  Both living Meadow Street Sheffield.  Parents Isaac Cwokes?? a joiner and Joseph Wardle (deceased) a Foreman.  Marriage at St Phillips Church Parish of sheffield.

Mystery Surname unravelled - it is CROOKES.
