Thomas DOBLE b.1867

My g.uncle Thomas born 1867 - bap 3.3.1867 Parents William and Elizabeth Doble, Upottery.

He was 4yrs old on th 1871 census where he lived at Shells Knapp, Upottery and I sort of traced him as a farm servant at Yarcombe Devon on the 1881 census.
After that there is no trace I can find - where did he go ?
I do know that a Thomas Doble from Upottery with the same birth year went to Wales and settled but that could well be his cousin Thomas from the same village.

Can anyone help please ?

The census says Dobb but it is the same names as the 1901 Census below.

AAAAGGGHHHH - Thanks Wendy - this was a problem I knew I would have.  It's very likely that g.uncle and his cousin both went to Wales but which one is it.

In a way I favour the Newport address (1901) mainly because most of the children's names are names from his immediate family i.e. Ellen (sister who died young) Elizabeth (mother) William (father) Alice (sister)
but this could be just sentimentality on my part. 
 However his age makes him 3 yrs older.
The Glamorgan address has him at 35, closer than the above age of 37.

Looks like I may have to travel all roads and see what turns up.

Welcome to the joys of family history, I have been doing it for over 25 years and the names keep repeating generation after generation.

It's okay with unusual surnames normally unless they all live in the same place and have many cousins of the same name
