I am a descendant of Ann Ilott and James Burke via William Burke and Esther Cawse  via Ethel Burke and Walter Fowler via Albert Joseph Fowler and Julia Gaudreau.  I live in Port Hope Ontario.  I can probably tell you much of what you want to know.  Cheers, Thom Fowler

Keep me in the loop.  I'm about to go back to the UK and visiting the Red Lion in Shephall which was run by Thomas Hanchant and his wife Charlotte nee Ilot on his death.

I know it's a long time since this conversation took place but I am a distant cousin of George James Eyre who married Sarah Ann Burke mentioned earlier. I live in England so my knowledge and access to Canadian records is limited so would interested in receiving Canadian census records, details of their children, their death records etc. George (who arrived in 1906) and I are both descended from George Eyre b 1747 who lived in Southwark and I am currently trying to find out as much about his descendents that I can.

It is a long time since we discussed the family.  Hopefully someone from the Canadian family will see this and answer you.  I am descended from Charlotte Illot whose daughter Ann married James Burke.  Charlotte is my 3x great grandmother - Ann was her daughter prior to her marrying Thomas Hanchant.
I'm in Australia so not a lot of help with the Canadian records.
