Dunavon Mansion, Downfield.

Does anyone know who the orginal owner of this mansion was?

Not sure if it has always been known as Dunavon Mansion.. looking at old census maps it.. there is "Brackens Bruach"  written over the area of the old house

It is situated in what is know known as Dunavon Gardens, Dundee.. DD3 9RA

It belonged to the Carmichael family who owned the Baldovan Bleachfield. They also had the adjacent Rioneach Mhor.
