1841 Wirral census - WARING
« on: Tuesday 14 April 09 12:35 BST (UK) »
I would be grateful if someone could look up William Waring and wife Mary in Brimstage, (Bromborough) in the Wirral. I do not know their years of birth but they have a son George born 1830.
Thanks

Hi Tati,

Thanks very much, could you follow it through to 1851 if possible?

I can see George and James in 1851, both working as servants, but not the parents  :-\

I cannot find a birth for either William or Mary unless they are both born in Chester. Wonder where they are in 1851?
Are the boys still in Brimstage?

There are several possible deaths in Wirral between 1841 and 1851 for Mary and William ... (not saying they died, but not ruling it out)

James is in Brimstage, house servant on a farm headed by Peter Grundy.

George is at Bromborough, a Milk Man on a farm headed by John Simpson.

 :)

added: There's also a 15 year old Mary Waring born Oxton in service at Bebington. Not sure how far  Oxton and Brimstage are apart.

I found the birth for Mary in Prenton, parents Wm & Mary so it maybe they moved. I'm pretty sure Mary didn't die until 1873 but William may have died 1852, there is a entry in the Parish records but he's aged 58 which actually ties in with a birth, didn't they round up the ages in 1841?
PS. Oxton is not far and even nearer to Prenton.

There are two different families with same parents names, one in Prenton, William is a labourer and one in Brimstage, William is a farmer.
Sorry for the confusion, we can rule the Prenton family out.
Thanks for your help Tati,
