Now  the Douglas Robson who "arrived"  in Australia in  1860 was part of  the crew.

Dear Allan,
There is a death in NSW but it doesn't have the right mother's name. The person was was the informant of the death could have got it wrong though.

Year: 1895
Name; ROBSON    DOUGLAS
Father: Not listed
Mother: IDA M
Place: NEWTOWN

No deaths listed in Queensland, Tasmania, Western Australia nor New Zealand http://bdmhistoricalrecords.identityservices.govt.nz/search/
There is a death listed in Victoria at https://online.justice.vic.gov.au/bdm/index-search?action=getHistIdxSearchCriteria but it costs .99 cents to access the list.

Having just seen Jenn's post regarding him being a crew member, he could have travelled all over the world.
Cheers
Susie

Here is another  listed as another crew member arriving in Sydney in 1858
http://mariners.records.nsw.gov.au/1858/10/064adm.htm

A scan of the original manifest is on the above link.  Scroll down the page and you will see SCAN.

Did you find your man listed on a database on Ancestry?

Unfortunately crew and passengers are not identified as such, on the database on Ancestry.

Allan, click on  the  link  I  gave  you ,  you  will  then  see the list of crew and passengers for  the vessell, if you click on scan  you  then see the original manifest.

When I  searched  that site it was the only entry for Douglas Robson.

Yes  he could have sailed out of Sydney  harbour and gone anywhere in  the world.
