I don't believe it's a microsoft issue.  ;)

I am pleased that everyone is happy with this makeshift situation

I don't know how we are going to find the cause of this problem.

Just like to thank everyone involved with running RootsChat for a brilliant site. I think it is great that so many people are willing to help fellow researchers solve their problems.

Hi Everyone,
Having only recently joined Rootschat, I have just searched the site looking to see if anyone had posted on this topic. I have done nothing for around a year on my tree, and on returning I get the same as others 'Server cannot be found'.
I have to say that I am a Tiscali broadband user and when ever I have had trouble (which is not often) the customer service from them as been diabolical. At one point I could not get access to the internet and therefore could not pick up any emails. I got in touch with them.
"Oh no, that is nothing to do with us." they said.
"In that case cancel my subscription will you please, I will go to another ISP."
As if by magic everything started working again almost instantly.
Anyway the link that Poirot posted is working so not all bad. I even got onto the Latter-day saints web site and tried the family history link there http://www.lds.org and got the same answer. Nothing.
