Hi

I do not think that there is anything wrong with the Family search site at the moment - I can get in and search OK at present.  So it is probably your connection to the internet that is playing games.  One trick that sometimes works for me when I get this sort of problem is to ignore the (un)helpful message about page not available etc but just press the reset/reload button on your browser.  I have not used Internet Explorer for ages and cannot remember which/where is the button but I know there is one there somewhere.

Good luck

Gobbo
PS I just checked - in Internet Explorer the magic button is at the right hand end of the address window - two curly arrows and it's called refresh.

You could try accessing it via the familysearch IP address, it could be that you internet provider is not looking up the ip address correctly.

Try typing 204.9.225.200 in the address bar and see if that takes you there.

Regards
Deryck

Rather than use Internet Explorer I use this one Pat .. hopefully the link should take you to it .. ?

http://www.google.co.uk/firefox?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official

Also where you can download it from .. quite a few people on RootsChat choose this one as an alternative .. !  :)

http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/

But that isn't solving your problem .. have you tried deleting your old cookies .. I think I've read somewhere before this can work .. ?

Sorry, I'll let you try Gobbo's idea first .. !  :)

I am using FF and its still the same. Tried the 204.9.225.200 suggetion but that didnt work either. The refresh button isnt any help. All my other web pages on IE and FF work fine its just this page
