My wife is related to this person.
Our family information is CAB was born 1834 in  Stirling, Scotland to parents Andrew Buchanan and Mary Alexander. She married Thomas Martin Tripcony in 1861 in Melbourne.
They settled on a property known as COWIE BANK adjacent to Tripcony Bight in Pumicestone Channel.
They had 3 sons.
We understand her brother was also at COWIE BANK but only known as uncle scottie. Can you help with more info on this brother especially christian name

In the Household of Malcom Couchrdugh, 62, born Campsa, stirlingsh.
Which transcription is that?

FreeCEN has Malcolm Coubhrough, 67, born Campsie, Stirlingshire and Catherine Buchanan, 17, born Campsie, Stirlingshire.

FindMyPast has Coubbrough but the rest matches FreeCEN.

SP indexes her as Cathrine Buchanna, 17, and him as Malcom Coulbrough, 62.

So you really have to look at the original to see what it really says.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Thank you everyone, I really should have marked this query as concluded, I see my original question was from 10 years ago !!!

Catherine is my gg grandmother, and arrived in Australia in 1857. I now have plenty of information.
