father William is a journeyman Carpenter in 1871, and William, and brothers are porters   :)

I guess Lydia in 181 = Ann in 1861   :-\

Got my info from An*****y !!!!!  Looking at the actual page there are just ditto marks after the previous family. Perhaps the person recording it got carried away.

Hi Jan  -  oh I agree it's the right family - perhaps Dad and Mum got fed up of putting something different  ::)

I'm having real problems with Mary Ann Gipson,

There are two on the 1851 census  Cambridge, one b. 1843 and b. 1844 but I can't see a birth reg for either  ::)

In 1871 Mary A Gipson age 21. b. Chatteris is in service in Islington.

Chatteris is in the reg. district of North Witchford

But it shows 1838 on Freebmd
