as far as i can tell there are no gaps in baptisms the bivri vol 2 is showing baptisms for biles during that period but alas none for your man
children of john biles and mary
children of james biles and ann
children of anthony biles and mary covering those dates
the only baptisms for benjamin and catherine showing on my disc is these -
william reynolds biles bapt 1st july 1781
catherine biles bapt 5th jan 1787
elizabeth biles also baptised 5th jan 1787
benjamin biles bapt 3rd oct 1788
thomas biles bapt 4th july 1790
james smith biles bapt 24th aug 1792

Hi Alli

Thanks for looking.   :)
I've got those baptisms from Pilot Record Search.  It just seemed a possibility that with the gap between 1871 & then Catharine and Elizabeth in 1787 there could have been a few years when baptisms weren't carried out.  :(    Especially if Catharine & Elizabeth weren't twins.
Wonder why the compiler of the tree slipped Charles in as son of Benjamin!  Will have to see if Benjamin wrote a will.
Thanks again.

Hi

Just come back to this 'wall' and have found that the Somerset marriage is the correct one!  :D

Charles Biles of Milborne St Andrew married Ann Pride on 13/4/1819, with consent of her father, at St James, Bath.
Still haven't found Charles's christening.

Hi All

I have William Pride of Milborne St Andrew marrying Susannah House at Hilton on 16/4/1799.
And wonder if he was christened at Milborne St Andrew?
I have ch. for 3 of their children there -  Ann 1801, Philip 1803, & William 1807.  However there were more!
Possibly Robert, Charles & Elizabeth.

Also although I have ch for Emily 1820, Charles Henry 1822 and Sagittary Biles 1826, children of Charles & Ann at M. St A., there should be more!  Catherine and Hannah at least.

Help with these would be appreciated, or directions to find the records.  Wouldn't mind transcribing the registers for OPC, if they could be scanned/photographed!   :D
