i should have looked harder - just checked an road atlas and couldn't find them  :-[

thanks for that Wendy

i assume (dangerous i know) that if someone is described as of somewhere, ie Davies of Noyadd, it means where they live but not necessarily where they were born?

You're welcome

It's very hard not to assume when you get info but that is one of the rules of genealogy. At least we check info ;D ;D

Hi
Trebarried is shown on the OS map about 8 miles to the north of Brecon, just west of the village of Bronllys.  It is shown on the map as an historic site, and there is indication that it was a court or hall at one time.  I know that somewhere in the area is also a property known as Trebarried Mill, which might be part of the same complex.   If you need the grid co-ordinates, let me know and I'll look them up for you.

Hi Bean

I don't know if the plaque below is of interest to you.  I know it doesn't refer to the family names you gave in your earlier post, but it does mention Trebarried.  It is on the gable of an almshouse in Hay-on-Wye.
