 Hi all
I wonder if anyone may be able to shed any light on the date of the photograph?

I only know that the man standing on the far right is my grandfather. William Thomas screeton.

I know for part of his life he was a keen rower & a member of the Bridlington Rowing club.

It looks to be perhaps a club anniversary or perhaps a big event.

Perhaps someone might recognise someone in the picture, It looks to me as if it could be the major & his wife. What do you think?

Any thoughts or information  would be great.

Because The Mayor and Mayoress are in attendance,i presume it was an important event.

Hi,

The local council should be able to help you to identify the Mayor and Mayoress, which would then pinpoint the year.   Mayors are usually in office for 1 year only; although sometimes become Mayor more than once.
