« on: Saturday 16 May 09 13:58 BST (UK) »
hi all i have a big problem in my tree like most people i suppose, but i need help

my ggggrandfather george tustin was born in hanbury worcestershire, but i am not sure about this has there is only 1 record of this it says mother and father are robert and ann?

george married jane in 1795 in gloucester she was from richmond surrey i have never found anything about her except that they had 5 children elizabeth hannah lucy, lucy and george who is my gg grandfather?

george then married susannah warr in birmingham they had a few children but they lived in hampton in arden in warwickshire and george died in 1831

george tustin born in 1826 married maria smith they had 12 children one of which were my ggrandfather who was thomas tustin born 1851 he married mary ann blizzard

i am trying to find any info on jane?
also georges parents or brothers and sisters or any info that anyone has would be of great help, there is also a lot of tustins in hampton in arden and i can't find the connection with my tustins if anyone can find a link that would be great

My first thought was that there must surely have been other children born between the marriage in 1896 and 1813.   Looking at IGI for Gloucester it would appear they also had:

William James bp.18/12/1796 St. Nicholas, Gloucester
Sarah Ready bp.31/10/1800          ditto
George bp.26/6/1805 St. Mary De Crypt, Gloucester
George Ready bp.3/7/1807           ditto

Again, the IGI shows only 3 Tustin baptisms in Richmond and as this is the same period as Jane is shown to have been born there I would guess these 3 are her siblings:

William James Tustin bp.27/3/1774 Richmond, Surrey, son of Robert
George Tustin bp.10/11/1776                 ditto
James Tustin bp.10/8/1779 Richmond, son of Robert and Mary.

Looks like Jane Tustin's parents could well be Robert and Mary.

Marriage;
George TUSTINS
Susanna WARR
21 April 1806
St Phillips, Birmingham, Warwickshire.

The Ready part could be from Georges side as you say it was used in childrens names from first marriage to Jane and then in 2nd marriage childrens names.

Ann is correct as Jane was a TUSTIN also ;)

Yes kerry1212 ;D

It was not unusual and they could be totally unrelated families or cousins.
Back tomorrow, late here.
