a little help needed please
« on: Friday 22 May 09 04:03 BST (UK) »
hi all, i wonder if anyone could please help? i put a thread on yesterday about trying to find an american soilder, after going through the 1900 us census i have managed to whittle it down to 5 people but i am unsure which way to go next? the person severd in WW2 in the north of england, but returned back to the USA after the war.
so can anyone please give some tips as to where to go next or what to try? i have sent a e-mail to the VA but they say it can take up to a week to reply so i would still like to be looking in that time if anyone could help?

with thanks

An ordinary World War Two soldier is unlikely to have been alive as early as 1900 census- are you sure of your dates?
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!
