Name of Church
« on: Wednesday 27 May 09 11:00 BST (UK) »
This is a crop from a marriage certificate - can anyone decipher the name of the church please.

We believe it says "Saint (?) Chapel" and underneath "Junction Street"

If it's of any help, this is from Manchester in 1852 and was a Roman Catholic wedding.

Regards
Harry

I'll agree with St. Ann(e)s. The J was confusing me at first too.

Using the Genuki church databse, this page details the church's history.

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/LAN/Ancoats/StAnne.shtml

Junction Street is now Carruthers Streeet and the church has been re-built.  St Anne's is a Roman Catholic church.
