Thanks ever so much bud,

Cyril Davies was the River Board keeper in the 1960's.  He spent a lot of time at the Brigands, thats where most of the wealthy fishermen would stay and in his spare time he would teach them how to fish.  He passed away in 2006 and laid to rest in Machynlleth. . .

I will email you my home address and I will be more than happy to pay for postage costs!

As I understand it the Brigands/Penarth arms and the cross Foxes were two different Inns

Hi.. this thread has made very interesting reading. I currently work at The Brigands Inn with the current owners and I am building up a bit more of a historical portfolio about the history.

I would appreciate it if the owners of the tariff card etc would kindly give me permission to print a copy and use the photos as reference.

Just to confirm, the hotel has been known under a number of names including the Peniarth Arms, Bury Hotel and Brigands Inn.

The Cross Foxes is another hotel about 5 miles North of the Brigands towards Dolgellau.
