hi i reseaching my grand father william john lynn born seagoe 1871 father francis lynn. william married mary jane mckeown in 1902 at st marks church portadown , in 1912 he signed the ulster covernant at portadown town hall at the time of signing he resided at 11 water st portadown, this much i know . there where two children samuel who was registerd as samuel ern mckeown born 1899, and anna lynn born circa 1907. the thing i am looking for is i cannotfind any trace of his death which would be circa 1912 and 1951 , as on my father marriage cert it said deseaced marriage was in 1951. the only other thing that i know about him is that when i was a young lad in the early 50,s i saw a certificate on the wall that said sir william john lynn i asume that it was some thing to do with the orange order. if any one can help with this i will very gratefull. zazazoo :) :)

hi,
if you think he was in the orange order then you could try contacting the order and see if they have any info on him,if he was a member then i'd be fairly confident they would know when he died. i know someone who knows more about it than i do so if i get a chance i'll ask him tomorrow if he has any ideas about who to contact in portadown that could help you.
