Aurzadniczek in Poland?
« on: Sunday 31 May 09 21:41 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone :)

I'm new to this; I came across this site while looking for vital records in Poland.

I was born in Rzeszow, Poland, and adopted from Poland by an American couple as a baby. I currently live in the US. My birth mother's name was '----- Aurzadniczek' and I have been trying to find out anything I can about it.

I'm not even sure about the nationality of the last name - my dad, who is Polish, said it could even be Ukrainian.

If anyone has any insight into this last name, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
Beata Aurzadniczek

Welcome to Rootschat. Unfortunately this isn't a forum for tracing living people so I've edited your post to remove the name of your birth mother who may still be alive.
There are hints about searching for living people in the help pages which might help you and perhaps someon will be able to give you general information about the origins of your surname.

Hi midnightsun and welcome to Rootschat! ;D

http://www.moikrewni.pl/mapa/kompletny/aurzadniczek.html

shows the occurance of the surname Aurzadniczek in Poland, and indeed it occurs mainly in the Rzeszow area (it's not a common name, though, is it?).  I'm not sure where you would look for its meaning (added: sorry, should have said origin ::)).  Have you tried Googling?

Kind regards
