Hello from Australia,

My 3rd Great Grandfather was Andrew Trimble (1803-1891) from Pomeroy.

as far as I know: His children were:
Mary
George
Robert (1836-1907)
Alicia
Susan
John
James
William (1842-1820) Munderadoe, Pomeroy
Andrew

I'm a descendant of Robert Trimble who migrated to Australia. Married in 1860 to Mary Ann Rafferty

Could this be the same William Enniskillen?

Hello KG, and thanks for the welcome.

That information is great.

In the 1901 census, Elizabeth Trimble said her age was 40, which makes her birth abt 1860. Her marriage to Andrew in 1875 would make her 15yo.

She probably underestimated her age because she didn't actually know it. On her wedding record in 1875, she was 'full age' meaning 21 and over (so at least 46).The reality was that many Irish people back in late 1800’s and early 1900’s didn't have the same focus on their birth date as we do today and didn’t celebrate birthdays. As a result, many didn't have an accurate knowledge of their age and many ages on census documents were simply a guess.

For others viewing, here are two of her sons on the 1911 Irish census.
