Alderney

I am still looking for details of my Grandfathers 1st marriage.
His army records show him as having married a Charlotte ? on the 13th or 15th May 1884 in Alderney.
There is also an entry for a child possibly called George on the 28th July 1884. and another Charles 24th April 1890.
Grandfathers name was William Harris.
Could say i am getting desperate now but I got to that stage some time ago.

Hi Kenny,

I dont know if you've already tried, but there is a lady in Alderney by the name of Eileen Mignot who works for the Alderney Library. Anyway she has access to most of the old records & family trees for Alderney so it might help you to contact her & ask if she can help.  She's certainly been very helpful for my research.

See http://user.itl.net/~glen/alderney.html for more information.

Hope that helps
