Hi
my great grandmother Agnes Ellis married a widower by the name of William Massey in Doncaster in 1890. his first wife Agnes Villerette Brown only 2 or 3 months before he married my Agnes.
I just wonder if we have some connection as I believe Bubwith Allerton to be in that area.
regards Janet

Hello I'm a Massey!
I have been researching my Massey line. My grandfather was Ernest Massey from Garton on Wolds though most of the family there back was bon in Nafferton, Driffield and surrounding areas.
I was lucky enought to visit Nafferton last year where I met the church warden who arranged a suprise meeting with a Graham Massey (same name as my dad) who lived in the village and also a fellow Massey researcher. I was then able to visit several of the family graves!
Most if not all Massey's in this area seem to be related with the furthest back traced to Bulwith in 16something or other by the other researcher!

My email is not working anymore sorry.

Hello, I am also researching the Massey family! I'm descended from John's son John b. 1832 in Allerthorpe. Have you seen these gravestones for the family at Allerthorpe Churchyard? https://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/YKS/ERY/Allerthorpe/Graveyard/Massey0100
