de Quincey research
« on: Friday 25 February 05 12:13 GMT (UK) »
Hi
New to all this, but suddenly become obsessed with tracing the (de) Quincey name back. Family based around Dudley and Blockhouse in 1800s and lots of leads from family Book of Common Prayer presented to Robert Quincey Age 7 in 1828. Think he had four children, (mainly born in St Peter Worcs) Robert, Edward, William (died young), William (replacement!),  but cannot find any record of father Robert's birth or death which  from the Prayer Book we know to  have been 15/7/21 nor any trace of where the family were from Census records. Can anyone suggest where I could loook?
