Any ideas about this gentlemen's outing?

 I think it was taken just after WW2 and in Nottingham.
Does anyone have any ideas about who the men are?

1 ) I don't think it is just after the war. It looks more late 50s to me - but thats just a feeling
2) I wouldn't assume it is Nottingham. A Robin Hood Coaches company operated from Rudyard Staffordshire and could have travelled almost anywhere.

The bus on the right looks like a 1950's Leyland Tiger, and the Robin Hood Coach company was bought out by Bartons Transport in the 60's.
Enlarging the picture on the right it looks like the destination board say "Stratford On Avon".
At the back of my mind I'm thinking Robin Hood were based in Calverton.

You're right - it does look like it might read Startford upon Avon. Well spotted!

They don't look like they'd be off to watch a Shakespeare play though do they?!

I thought Robin Hood coaches was acquired by Bartons in the early 50's but I could be wrong.

Well this bus used to be Robin Hood, and was only built in 1959. So still go with early sixties.
