Hi Lilygirl,

The earliest Hannah Sagar I have was born in 1848, but I don't have many names that far back. Was she born in Barnsley, ro somewhere else?

I have just looked on the IGI for details of the marriage. Andrew appears to have married twice on the same day. However, one record was extracted from the local records, whilst the other was submitted by a member. All member submissions should be taken with a pinch of salt until they are verified at source (ie parish records).

I would think, looking at the two entries, that Hannah married twice. She was either born a Sagar or a Cooper - possibly a Cooper since this record is not extracted, and the extracted record would usually contain the current name, rather than maiden name.

I'd suggest getting a copy of the record if you can, so you can check :)

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
How do you tell if they're extracted or submitted??

It usually says at the bottom of the entry....

Messages:
Extracted marriage record for locality listed in the record. The source records are usually arranged chronologically by the marriage date.

or...

Messages:
Record submitted after 1991 by a member of the LDS Church. No additional information is available. Ancestral File may list the same family and the submitter.

You have Edward marrying Mary Ann Harper according to some information I have that is true.

Mary Anne Harper 1863-1926 & Edward Sagar 1854-1909 if we are on the same tracks.
