Hello  ,, i have a death cert  with cause of death marked;
   OLD AGE  (80)   NOT CERTIFIED
  what do it mean                      dated 1869..

Old Age - remembering that our life span is supposed to be 3 score years and ten = 70 years; then anyone living after that age was doing really well.
By the time they reached 80, their bodies were wearing out very fast - usually listed as degeneration or plain Old Age.
