Lythe,Hinderwell,Whitby

Hi

  I am looking to trace the family of John Price and Ruth Weir of Whitby married in 1780 and had children John, William, George, any help would be great. Particularly interested in MI or Burials in Lythe,Hinderwell,staithes or Whitby.

Have you looked in the IGI[International Genealogicla Index} for them?  It is free and searchable- go to familysearch site and click on IFI link on LHS of page..
It does not have many deaths- births and marriages for various parishes are there.

hi guys

  had a great visit to whitby st mary and the nyro, not so good at lythe or hinderwell

  St Marys now has a catalogued list of monumental inscriptions produced by one of the past rectors, ask in the shop ( open 1100 to 1500) found all the Price and Weir burials also 6 pews near the alter owned by John Price and stained glass window inscription.

 St Oswalds Lythe also has a list of monumental inscriptions but no Prices listed

St Hildas Hinderwell is locked and closed cemetry very overgrown no Prices found

NYRO indexes for Whitby and Hinderwell excellent, but nothing for Lythe

Now need to find details of Price family in Staithes
