George Hobson
« on: Wednesday 01 July 09 13:28 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone, along with a series of old photos I bought recently I found quite a number relating to the family HOBSON of Blackrock, Cork, Ireland and later in Melbourne Australia c:1905. There are also photos of Blackrock Castle and surrounds. If anyone has an interest in the HOBSON family please let me know.

Kind Regards

Peter Euston

Peter,
This is my family. My grandfather was George Ernest Hobson, from Blackrock, Cork. His father (I believe) was John Walter. I have been able to find out so little about them. Anything you have I'd be grateful for. Thank you very much.
Best wishes,
Richard

Hi,
there wasa John Hobson living on Castle Road, Blackrock in the early 1890s. Replaced in the house by an Annabella Hobson. She disappears from the record in the mid-to late 1920s.  Rgds

I'm a Hobson from England, I have been told we have Irish heritage. All our first born Sons have Bogan as a middle name. I now know why.
