England census 1911 gives the Co Armagh clue
Thomas and Bridget Murray.[‘pn’ from Salford RC records which may help the most in the irish search assuming Thomas himself and son Christopher was catholic]
children
Christopher Murray c. 1856 Co Armagh
I searched unsuccessfully for Christopher’s civil birth and church baptism on
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/trying Griffiths Valuationabout 1860s there are Murrays living in the following civil parishes in Co Armagh
Armagh Ballymore Clonfeacle Creggan Derrynoose Drumcree Eglish Keady
Kilclooney Killevy Kilmore Lisnadill Loughgall Loughgilly Montiaghs Mullaghbrack
Newry Newtownhamilton Seagoe Shankill Tartaraghan Tynan ‘. that is a lot of parishes
even for Murray. Selecting just Thomas presuming Thomas the father has his own place, the results are
Murray Thomas Doohat or Crossreagh Derrynoose Armagh
Murray Thomas Crossbane Derrynoose Armagh
check how close those townlands are to Annaghmore station
Murray Thomas Clady Beg Kilclooney Armagh
Murray Thomas Tullyvallan Newtownhamilton Armagh
Murray Thomas Turmoyra Seagoe Armagh
Murray Thomas Township of Lurgan Rooneys Lane Shankill Armagh
Murray Thomas Ballynarry Tartaraghan Armagh
The above parishes except possibly Kilclooney, have railways running through them. Railway stations at this time taken from maps around 1862 include the following stations in alph‘ order
Adavoyle Station
Armagh Itself [North]
Bessbrook
Goraghs Wood
Hamiltons Bawn
Killylea ,close to Armagh itself
Loughgilly Starion
Lurgan

Thomas’s son Christopher is a young railway signalman in England who possibility learnt their trade and emigrated to England for a better post . if that was the case for your Christopher one would need need to live within walking distance of a railway station to learn your trade.. I have come across the experience of three signalmen hence me going into detail . if you face a brick wall and have the time it’s a possible way of narrowing the Thomas above down three or four places . even then you need without a church record problems arise
so I cant help further, hope others join in. Good luck
