I have just dug out the marriage cert for
William Francis age 22 coal miner to Jemima Spencer age 18 married March 1891 Co Durham
William father Thomas Francis  lab.
Jemima's father Samuel Spencer Coal miner
1901 census  Holywell Flint
Heathers INN Whitford Street
William Francis age 31 butcher employed at Home born Mold  Flint [his death cert in 1942 gave his age as 75 he was a coal miner prior to 1901
every census gives a different place of birth even the kids I have  all 9 of the birth certs .my mother in Law Gladys Francis born Dawdon Co Durham 1912 was Williams Daughter she said he spoke mostly Welsh and even his kids found it difficult to understand him

I'll have a look in Flintshire for a birth then but, as far as I can recall, Flintshire is even worse on the 1861

Two in Mold in 1858 - a Willian Morgan Francis and a William Whitford Francis. Also,  a William Edward in Holywell in 1859 and a William Wardell* in Mold in 1862.

Are you sure that the 1871 is them?

What place of birth does William give on the 1911?

Have you got him on the 1881?

No birth reg for William Francis in 1869 on the NW BMD. there is this one:

1870 - William Francis, Mold Local ref - Mold/25/93

and

1867 - William Francis, Llanarmon yn Ial Local ref - Armon/07/23
