I am looking for the christening date, place, name/s of parent/s of Thomas Wheeler abt. 1740.
Thomas married Margaret  ?  Daughter Sarah c. 19 Jul. 1761 St. Olave, Southwark.
Any info. would be appreciated.

Have you looked at the IGI http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp
There is a thomas Wheeler baptised in St Olave Southwark in 1736.  He could be yours.  Best to try to find more children to see if they are  named after parents.

You could check your other queries on the same site.

The only trouble with London ancestors is that they could have come from anywhere.  A lot of people headed to London during that time as I know to my cost.
