On the U.S. ship it is marked "In transit to Canada". I have accessed the Canadian passenger records and the occupations aren't aligned properly. Henry is on line # 9 and his occupation is on line #8 - architect. They went wrong on line #5 when the 5 year old female child Nellis was given intended occupation of sawmills for the person of line #6.

Henry's # of R.R. Company Ticket was 361480.  G.T.R. passengers left by special trains at 2 pm and 9:20 pm. There were only G.T.R. trains, no other train lines mentioned meeting this ship, so he would have entered Canada via G.T.R. then as he got closer to Moose Jaw continued there by land, or switched to C.P.R. somewhere along his route going to his mother in Stranraer. He would later have gone to Moose Jaw. (Amended)

Henry can be found on page 25 (page 15 of steerage passengers) of the Canadian passenger lists here:

Hi Linda,Chinkay and Jacquie
Browsing a bit closer at the image Linda kindly posted of the pursers entries brings three questions:

1. In the column to the left of Henry's name there is the fig 500 written. Is that the sum of money he had with him?

2 & 3.  In the columns to the right of his name under Destination there is PO and Province: can you read what the answers are there for Henry please?

Any help will be much appreciated...
charlotte

1. That column indicates the amount of cash a person has with them and Henry's entry says $50.00.

2. Henry's entry reads Stranraer, Saskatchewan. (Edited to correct information)

Hi Jacquie, Thank you for that help.

Funny that in 1912 Henry said he was going there as the Wikipedia article says the town was established in 1913!

"The town of Shaunavon is situated in Southwest Saskatchewan at the junction of Highways 37 and 13. It is 110 kilometres from Swift Current, 163 kilometres from the Alberta border and 74 kilometres from the Montana border.[5]
Shaunavon was established in 1913 and settled along a railroad line. "

On the matter of money an emigrant had , how would larger sums of money have been shifted from England to Canada?   Would English Banks have written letters of credit or what?

Not only that, but established literally in a single day.

You know, I just can't make that image spell Shaunavon. To me it reads Stranraer.

Cheers,

So Linda and China both think the image says Stranraer as his destination.

Linda, when did your reliies go there? Was it reasonably developed in 1912? Was it a farming area or biggish town then?   Just trying to work out why he said that ...

So Linda and China both think the image says Stranraer as his destination.

It is a lot clearer on the US passenger list and appears to say Stranraer.
