Where is SANTYBOYS please?
« on: Tuesday 21 July 09 22:13 BST (UK) »
Hi,

On an 1861 census I have a relative who comes from what looks like  'Santyboys' in Cardiganshire.  Does this sound familiar to anyone - I can't find it anywhere.    ???

Any suggestions would be gratefully received!

Thanks Karen

Hi

Presume we are talking about Margaret Edmonds aged 81?

I think the S is meant to be an L but I can't find her on the 1851 at the moment to see if it gives a birthplace

Hi Carole,

Yes it is Margaret Edmonds.  I think I have also found her in 1841 and 1851 with her husband William at Merthyr but her p.o.b is Breconshire on 1851 census so am not sure if that is her.  In 1841 at Merthyr there is a No to Glam being her county of birth so not much help there.
