Hi Delk

RE.....Kenneth Harold Scott. DOB we have is 29.05.1897.

Well the man of that same name born in SA did have a birthday on 29 May though the year was 1904 as mentioned in Reply#18.  And, his parents and one sister certainly moved to WA  so its likely Kenneth also did.

Is this the death of your man?
SCOTT  Kenneth Harold  died 1957 aged 59
reg.  Plantagenet  43
Parents were Frank & Margaret

Rhonda

ADDED Found deaths of other sons of Arthur and Harriett in Perth.

Yes Rhonda. This is the same person. We know through DNA tests of daughter of Kenneth Scott is linked to DNA of Claybrook familes.
Kenneth Harold Scott & Harold Kenneth  Claybrook are the same person.

Hi Delk,
You sound a good deal more certain of this now.
You had previously expressed some doubt on the absolute identity.

Has something come up to confirm your belief?

Sue

I think some of the DNA links are helping Delk and the family confirm their belief...

where to start ... I am married to the missing Harold Kenneth Claybrook's grandson.  We live in Perth.  His grandfather ended up in Denmark in Western Australian as you have found out.  We have no idea how he got to Western Australia, if he came with the rest of his family or on his own or why he assumed a different name.  He always maintained he was from New Zealand and didn't enter correct details on marriage certificates or birth certificates.  We just this year found out that his family name is Claybrook (through DNA testing as you have correctly stated.)  Harold or Kenneth Scott as the family knows him ended up with 9 children, 6 of which are still living!  My father in law died in 1974 at the age of 42, a sister died in 1988 and baby and mother died in 1947.  Their ages now range from 75 to 91.  None of these children were aware of their father's past life OR surname until this year when one of them did a DNA test, my husband turned up and so did the Claybrooks (o:

There was recently a "Scott" family reunion held near Denmark and there were over 200 descendants of Harold Kenneth Claybrook in attendance.  A person that one of the Sisters has been in touch with was aware that there was a missing Claybrook son but has stated that everyone that knew about it has died.  So where to from here?
