Hi Annemarie, I wonder if the Stubbs in Mallow are related to Annie Stubbs.

Her parents William aged 60, Mary aged 54 and 3 brothers were still living in 1911, Daniel aged 33, Michael aged 19 and Christopher aged 23. Charles who was in service in 1901 with Annie at the O'Brien's was dead by this time. They are all single at this point. According to the family Daniel was known as Doofy Dan??? I wonder why?

So many questions to be answered.... ;)

I will ask my father-in law about Doofy Dan, he knows  most of the older Mallow people when he was a kid will also ask him about the Stubbs family at that time and the current Stubbs in Mallow.
More then likely they are related as there are not that many Stubbs families around anymore

Hi Renee, its never too late for a reply to a post on rootschat!!

I haven't looked at my husbands side of the family for a while as have been engrossed with goings on on my side!!

However this could be a good time. Can you be a bit more clear for me, is the Michael you refer to in your post (and Mary) who is deceased, the son of Daniel Stubbs and Kate? and are the Fr * Stubbs and * and * his sons? If not how do they fit in with Willam Stubbs b 1851 and Mary Beechinor b 1859?

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi, thanks for the information.

I was contacted a while ago by another family member who is Christopher Stubbs's grandson. Christopher was Dan's brother. My husband is Dan's sister Annie's great grandson.

I would love to see those photos and I will send you an email so you can email me back privately. I will email you through the private message system on Rootschat, let me know if you don't get it.

I will do that now, speak soon
