 Hello jds1949
Are you looking for the Swarbrick family who were in St. petersburg. If you are, I can help you as my grandad was born out there on 26 May 1888 and was John Rangeley Swarbrick.

Dear alg1971,

Thanks for getting in touch; I actually have quite a bit on this Swarbrick family as I exchanged information with another member of your family some years ago. I am more than willing to let you have what I've got - I'll send you a PM and we'll take it from there.

You may have been in contact with my dad as he was doing his family tree upto the date that he died. My dad was the only child to John Rangeley Swarbrick. He had gone back a lot before he died five years ago. He had book of all his family history in the end.

Dear alg1971,

If your dad was named John and lived in Clwyd, then it was him. He and I exchanged information on more than one occasion, he was a gentleman and I was sorry to hear of his death. I do have a bit more now on your family than when we last exchanged - so please contact me at my email address in my PM to you and I'll get back to you,

Regards,

Hi jds1949 and alg1971
I'm a brandnew member but I'm really interested in your exchange as I am very remotely connected to John Rangeley Swarbrick, and obviously have a lot of interest in Swarbricks both in Lancashire and Canada. Can either of you share a little about John Rangeley's parents please, especially his mother and what happened to her? Thanks

Hi euxtonstog,

I have a fair bit on this family, probably too much to share online on this forum. I'm not sure if you can send me a personal message via the site - I think you have to have a minimum number of posts - but I shall attempt to send you my email address via the personal message facility.

Hi JDS and thanks for replying so quickly. I think you are right about this Personal Message (PM) only being available after I've done 3 posts, so this is my 2nd. I have recently been sent pics of John Rangeley Swarbrick's parents and grandparents, and I'm particularly struggling with info on the parents John and Margaret because of the Russia bit. They are on the fringe of my Swarbrick family interest because they are remote, but the pics have caused me to do a bit of research on them. Can you help me with John Rangeleys mother please: ie Margaret who?; parents? have you any birth and death info for her?, and did they marry in Russia? Thankyou
