South Australia death look up, please
« on: Wednesday 05 August 09 07:18 BST (UK) »
Hellen Hannah Rettberg or Redburg who it is said died in 1924 in Adelaide.  Her husband was Gustave Paul Theodore Rettberg who died June 1900.  I have his details.  Given the SA entries in the index to 1916 only show the informant & not the parents then it is possible one of her children was an informant.  If so there was a son George and a daughter Emmie Helen (married name of Parham).  Hellen's maiden name was Cattach.

Any help greatly appreciated.  I found her death on another website however she is listed as deceased on her father's death certificate in 1877.  Given she never married until 1879 then I think the cert is incorrect but I'd like to prove either way.

any help appreciated
regards
Debra

thank you both for all this information.  It is all for the family I am researching.  I'd not checked the war records but I will now as it seems George (the son) did very well in so far as promotions went.
I was also not aware that the Adelaide Advertiser was available on line so will make good use of that facility.

Again thank you very much, you have confirmed what  I had and added more information to it.

kind regards
Debra
