wow, many thanks Yvonne love you, i have been stuck on this for ages, i had looked on the ellis island site and found two ships the Eturia and the Aurania with two sarah's and one margaret and one daisy in the same year but did not know how to progress further, i thought it strange when they were all going to the same address 625 South 15th street but not sure if that is in New York.
                       Thanks again

In Manhattan in New York City, if the address ends in Street, the address is given as East or West.  I'm not familiar with any South 15th Street in the New York area.

It looks like the final destination on the 1904 manifest was Springfield, Illinois.

There is an Illinois death index and other databases here:  http://www.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/databases.html  Some indexes for Cook County are here:  http://www.cookcountygenealogy.com/  It seems like there might be a few possibilities on those for John's death.
