FreeBmd coverage is shown at http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/progressD.shtml the very few latest entries are for 1949. You would need to search the GRO Indexes on a pay to view site. What is the name you are looking for?

Hi

Find My Past have them up to 2006. If you want to give the name I'll see what I can do.

Hi Stan and Jan

The person I'm looking for is John Edwards Barnes would have been about 43 i have managed to find the birth record for him.

Already tried the link you provided Stan and it did come up with someone but not the person i'm looking for.

Thank you for the offer of help.

Hi Jan

Thank you so much for the information.  Looks like it's the person I'm looking for His birth was registered in the Apr-Jun Quarter of 1923 so looks like he could have died just before he turned 43.  The only way I'm going to be completely sure is to send of for the death certificate.  But it looks very promising.

Regards

Sarah
