*Completed*Tasmania Marriage lookup: Elizabeth HEATON to John McKENNA
« on: Sunday 16 August 09 01:58 BST (UK) »
Fellow listers

Can anyone help me with a marriage between Elizabeth HEATON (or perhaps EATON) to John McKENNA in Launceston around 1846?

I am hoping for a date if possible, and even better, the names of some witnesses.

It looks as if they migrated quite soon afterwards to NSW, as they had a son named James on 5 Apr 1849 in Sydney.

Any help gratefully received.

Many thanks

Philip Candy

This is the closest I can find.  You would have to purchase the certificate to find further information.

EATON Elizabeth  22 years
MCKINNON John  30 years
5 Mar 1848
Registration Place Launceston  Reg# 2059/1848   Ref RGD37

Hi, just found this post by Googling 'John McKenna Elizabeth Eaton'. They are my husband's 2x Great Grandparents. We have only just received their son's Joseph's Birth Certificate which stated they were married in Van Diemen's Land in 1847. Convicts? Any & all information would be appreciated.
