That is quite difficult to answer, because it wasn't unusual for the church records to list only the first given name, even though the child was given a middle name from the outset.

And, there is NO extant record of the passengers on board the Moffatt arriving 19 Dec 1839 to South Australia.   There are various lists found online for that voyage, and one has the SCOTT family including Henry as Henry Braefoot SCOTT ... but these are actually 'constructed' lists and default to submissions from various family history buffs...      I notice that his siblings on that voyage do not have middle names
