Where to find CofI parish registers?
« on: Thursday 27 August 09 15:21 BST (UK) »
I'm not sure where I can find some church of Ireland parish registers.  I know some have been released on Microfilm to LDS church but I'm looking for Tullamore (Kilbride) parish and Durrow parish.

I'm trying to concentrate my search in Tullamore c. 1800-1830 but I read somewhere that before Tullamore's church was built, alot of protestants worshipped in Durrow, whose registers go back to the early 1700s and my family was in King's Co. by 1786.

Any help where to go for these would be appreciated, Thank you!

according to Ryan's Irish Records the registers for the CofI parish of Kilbride/Tullamore are in local custody. Records start around 1805.

Apparently the Durrow records are also in local custody with a microfilm copy in the National Archives - ref. MFCI 55 and SLC 990092, records go back to about 1706, and there are a few gaps in these around 1801 to 1815
