are there any clues as to when William and Mary may have been married ?
At the moment I am assuming that the could have been married anytime between 1907 and 1939 - i.e. from William being aged 18 to the electoral register details that Dara listed. There are quite a few possible William Davis marriages listed in the time .. anything that would narrow down the search could help.
one thing to note ... the British Army, could not have been based at Beggars Bush (or anywhere else in Ireland) anytime after 1922

Hi Shane,
Thanks for getting back to me. No idea when William & Mary got married but think it was after 1911 as he was living with a brother in Summerhill on the 1911 census. He was 22 then.
In the 1939 census he was listed as married to Mary & living at 50 Mountjoy Square then.
I know that Beggars Bush closed down in 1922 so wonder what happened to William then. Where else would he have been based? I know he went to India with the British Army in 1939 so wonder what happened after Beggars Bush.
Just re-checked the 1911 census. Beginning to think I might have some wrong info somewhere.
William is listed as being married to Annie for 3 years here with 2 children aged 2 & 0. That means they were married in 1908.His brother John lives with them at 21.3 Summerhill. Looks like Annie was from James County??
When did he marry Mary then?? And what happened to Annie & the children if this is the same William Davis I'm looking for??
