Bovenizer/McDonald. Look up please.

 I'm getting great help in the search for mr G Grandad Davis, much appreciated.
 Mums asked if I can try to find out a bit about her side of the family now. Again, almost nothing to go on but worth a try.

 My gran was Annie Jordan nee McDonald. She married William Jordan in 1931.She would've been 96 on the 17th August this year.
 Her mum was Annie Bovenizer & she married James McDonald.Her mum was also called Annie but don't have any other info on her etc.
 Annie & James McDonlad lived in Cardiff Cottage Finglas when my gran was born.
 I know it's like looking for a needle in a haystack but I know if anyone can find them for me, you lot can.

 Have found the name Bovenizer in Rathmines Avenue in the 1911 census.
 There's a Henry aged 45, Annie 46, Mary Elizabeth 19, Susan 16, Robert 14, Annie 9, Henry 7. There's also a Maryanne James 52.

Next step then is to search for other records. I'm guessing that Bovenizer isn't a common surname so check index to civil registrations and make a note of all the ones to find- later those might all fit into your family-

Also have a look at LDS site- search 'Bovenizer' 'Ireland' and go through those results- many seem to be Co. Limerick but there are Dublin ones as well.

Have been onto the site & searched through it but there's so many Bovenizers & I'm getting a bit confused. Will go back into it another day when I'm feeling a bit fresher, I'm sure I'll find who I'm looking for.

If you go to civil registration index site put in 'Bovenizer' as surname (nothing else) then click 'search', then at top of page select 'place' and check the box for 'Dublin' and you can bring up only the ones in Dublin area which should cut down on the records you have to look through for now.

 Thanks for your help again.
 Can't access the Civil registration site though as my PC doesn't support Flashplayer. Am able to access www.familysearch.org but can't find any Dublin Bovenizers.
 Sorry to be a numpty, is there any other way I can find Dublin Bovenizers??

the Familysearch Civil index that aghadowey mentioned is the best way to track Civil registrations. I had a quick look and based on the census details found a few matches to get you started.

1. Probable marriage of Henry :

 Name: Henry Bovenizer
 registration district: Dublin South
 quarter / year: Oct - Dec 1890
 volume: 2 / page: 523

The Dublin South registration district includes both the southern part of the city and suburbs including Rathmines. There's a possible cross-match for this marriage entry with an Annie James (same quarter, district, volume & page)

2. possible birth for Henry

 Name: Henry Bovenizer
 Reg. district: Rathkeale
 year: 1871
 vol: 5 / Page: 726

If this is correct then his age is out by a little bit on the census.. but the district of Rathkeale matches the county of birth (Limerick) given on the census

3. birth of Elizabeth Mary :

  name: Elizabeth Mary Bovenizer
  registration district: Dublin South
  quarter / year: Apr - Jun 1891
  volume: 2 / page: 705

4. birth for Annie (jnr)

 Name: Annie Bovenizer
 reg. district: Dublin South
 quarter & year : Oct - Dec 1901
 volume: 2 / Page: 547

 Thanks to everyone again for their much appreciated help with this. I found a message board on Ancestry.com about the Dublin Bovenizers & have contacted them for their help.
