websters in kirkcudbright area
« on: Wednesday 02 September 09 19:12 BST (UK) »
My grandfather joseph webster was born in the rerrick area 1882. His mother was susan webster no father. he had 5 daughters and 2 sons, she died 1901 in the high street kirkcudbright. Her father was george married to a mary broadfoot. I have a lot of research on the family except in one daughter Nicholas born 1886 shows on the 1901 census as living in 1 high street atkinson close aged 16 gen servant. then don't see anything else? Any suggestions

Hi James

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

A hard one this one! Can't see any sign of a marriage or death for Nicholas (searching for Nic*) in Scotland, nor any obvious marriage for her in England either  :-\

One possibility may be that following mother's death in 1901, she may have emigrated perhaps.
