Hi

Thankyou for that info.

Benjamin Partridge was my G Grandad, do you have the marriage date for him and Annie Eliza as I have never been able to find it. I do have some info like birth and death for them but never found the marriage, I will check the other name you have mentioned as well and see what it turns up, I am really interested in the Hallam and Partridge side of the family and any info is appreciated.

Thanks again pat

Hi Ellesse you are doing the right thing by working backwards with your family  :)

to confirm what you have
marriage in the Parish Church in Darnell Sheffield 19.03.1908
John Ernest Whiting (born abt 1880) do you mean aged 28 ?
what occupation ?
what address was given ?
father John Whiting - what was Johns occupation and was he given as deceased ?

&
Mary Ellen Bishton (born abt 1887) do you mean aged 21 ?
what was her occupation ? address ? who was her father and what was his occupation ? was he deceased ?

who were the witnesses ? this is important as they could be relatives

i wondered if Mary was from the travelling community or from Sheffield and this would help as to where they met .... possibly

i found a few baptisims for you at St Luke Deptford

Benjamin was born Jan 15 1876 and christened April 9th of the same year  s/o John & Ann  of Albion Street
John was a labourer

Edward aged 1 month was baptised 29th August 1894 along with his big brother Thomas Charles who was aged 2 years and 7 months sons of John & Ann
John was a coal porter (which would make more sense than a coach porter  ;D ) address 28 Grove Street
