1910 in Camelford

Hi, All, 
I have 7 male members of my Cornish Langdon family who died in 1910.  Maye this is pure coincidence.  They worked at the Delabole slate mine.  Is anyone aware of a quarry disaster at that time, or any other reason why so many men died in the same year.  A long shot, I know, but worth a try.

Hi,

If all the deaths are registered together it could be a quarry accident. 

FreeBMD lists the deaths of 4 male Langdons in 1910;   a 70 yr old in Jan/Feb/Mar, a 37 year old in Apr/May/Jun and a 27 year old and a 52 year old in Jul/Aug/Sep.   All in Camelford.

Hi i live locally to the quarry would you like me to visit and ask im guessing they still have a visitor centre!? My old neighbour's father used to own the quarry during many years ago, I remember goin there on a school trip and learning about how dangerous it is to work there as men used to fall in to the pool of water which is poisoned which could possibly of happend to your relatives.

I got the day off tomoz and could do with the walk haha!
i have a mate that works there so no problems at all, i would of thought they would keep records as the place is proud of its history and looks after their workers if i remember rightly.

can you tell me their full names? any date of births?/ages whne they died, did they live in delabole or camelford? please tell me any info you have got so, i can also look up church records and there graves if you wish.
If they were from Camelford they would most likely be buried at Lanteglos church.
Do you have any other members from the area you want me to look up?
